Mike was a friend of Nathan Curtis who asked Bethany Platt if he could have his recording equipment back in April 2017.
Mike told Bethany that Nathan had said that he could have all of his recording equipment. When Bethany asked Mike if he needed Nathan's laptop in order to edit videos, he took it off her and said that it was nice meeting her.
When Nathan returned home, Bethany told him that Mike had called round in order to collect the recording equipment. Nathan told Bethany that he didn't know a Mike and lambasted her for letting someone walk in and take the equipment. Nathan made a point of telling her that it wasn't his equipment and told her that it actually belonged to his friend Neil Clifton.
Nathan later apologised to Bethany for being harsh on her and admitted that he was worried about how Neil would react to losing the equipment. Nathan then asked Bethany if she could make it up to Neil by going out for a drink with him as he had a soft spot for her.
