Michael Stirrup appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in August 1966 as a messenger boy who delivered wedding anniversary flowers to Valerie Barlow; and he returned to the programme exactly two years later as Granston Technical College student Graham.
He also appeared in several episodes of Z Cars and as a police cadet in the Yorkshire Television series Death or Glory Boy.
On radio, he was heard in Saturday Night Theatre, while on stage, he appeared in productions of My Darling Daisy and Conduct Unbecoming.
