Michael McNally (born 1963 in Gateshead) appeared on Coronation Street in November 1985 as Tim Faulkner, a boyfriend of Susan Barlow.
A performer from an early age, he appeared on Opportunity Knocks at the age of thirteen and later had his own eponymous programme on Tyne Tees Television as well as reporting spots on Going Live and Holiday.
His other credits include roles in Crossroads, The Return of the Antelope, The Bill, The Chief, Men Behaving Badly, Casualty, Heartbeat, Surgical Spirit, Badger and The Cops.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Real Dreams, The Danton Affair, Johnny Johnson and Operation Elvis for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
He left the acting profession in 2003 and became a drama tutor.
