Michael Hall (born "John Michael Hall" on 31st March 1928 in Manchester, died 29th January 2021 in London) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles, both of them policemen: firstly in December 1967 as Sergeant Dobson who was on duty when Annie Walker was arrested for hooliganism; and he returned to the programme in November 1969 as Chief Inspector Stanley who prosecuted Elsie Tanner for shoplifting.
His other credits include roles in The Corridor People, Crossroads, Mr. Rose, Z Cars, Callan, Crown Court, Intimate Strangers, The Birds Fall Down and For Maddie with Love.
