Michael John Goldie (born 26th February 1932 in Edmonton, Middlesex; died 17th June 2013 in Morbihan, France) appeared on Coronation Street intermittently between September 1983 and July 1988 as Bob Statham, owner of the Weatherfield Recorder.

His other credits included roles in Z Cars, Doctor Who, Dixon of Dock Green, Quick Before They Catch Us, Softly Softly, Treasure Island, Smith, Softly Softly: Task Force, Television Club, Matilda's England, Get Lost!, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Zig Zag, Howards' Way, Inspector Morse, The Bill and Wycliffe.

Film roles included Doctor in Distress, Where the Bullets Fly, The Body Stealers, Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed, The Horror of Frankenstein, The Pied Piper, Danger on Dartmoor, Lady Jane and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

On stage, he appeared in productions of The Taming of the Shrew, As You Like It and The Relapse for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Other works included Point In the Square, The Tempest, The Egg, Chips With Everything, The Royal Hunt of the Sun, The Comedy of Errors, Henry IV, Henry V and The March on Russia.
