Michael Brennan was the husband of Bridget and father of Don and Maureen.
Michael died suddenly of a heart attack at the age of 50, while washing-up in the kitchen. Bridget heard the sound of smashing glass on the floor but Michael was already dead when she found him. As a result of her husband's premature death, Bridget always warned her son off fatty foods but had no problem consuming them herself.
Bridget also claimed that she had turned down several chances to remarry since Michael's death out of loyalty to her deceased husband and would consider it adultery to do so. However, her granddaughter Margaret implied she had in fact been "friendly" with other men before.
