Melanie Kilburn (born as "Sarah Melanie Jean Kilburn" on 16th March 1956 in Bradford) appeared on Coronation Street between October 2000 and May 2002 as Evelyn Elliott.

She trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and began her career in acting with a role in the 1983 TV movie The Last Company Car. A long list of credits have since followed, including roles in Juliet Bravo, Chancer, Soldier Soldier, Making Out, The Lifeboat, Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Heartbeat, Casualty, All Quiet on the Preston Front, Where the Heart Is, Peak Practice, Clocking Off, The Bill, Shameless, Holby Blue, Lewis, Midsomer Murders, DCI Banks, Doctors and WPC 56. On film she has appeared in The Little Drummer Girl, Vroom and One Chance.
