Melanie Gutteridge (born August 1972 in Waltham Forest, Essex) appeared on Coronation Street between May and June 2010 as Ms Waller, a barrister assigned to Gail McIntyre's defence team when she was charged with the murder of late husband, Joe.
She graduated from the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in 1997.
Perhaps better known for her role of PC Emma Keane in The Bill from 2006 to 2008, her other television credits include roles in The New Adventures of Robin Hood, Casualty, The Vice, Arabian Nights, Rockface, Doctors, Not Going Out, Holby City, EastEnders, The Salisbury Poisonings, Goldie's Oldies, Murder in Provence, The Undeclared War and Platform 7.
Film roles include Greenwich Mean Time, Amazons and Gladiators, Large, Long Time Dead and The Guvnors.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Enchanted April, The God of Carnage, Private Fears in Public Places, The Secret Rapture, Habeas Corpus, Alone Together, The Marriage of Figaro, The Perfect Picnic, Roaring Trade, Spider's Web (for Bill Kenwright), A Chorus of Disapproval and Drowning on Dry Land.
