Matthew Crompton (born 17th July 1971 in St Helens) played Dan Mason in Coronation Street between December 2007 and November 2008.
His most high-profile role was probably as PC Sam Harker in The Bill for six years between 1996 and 2002. He has also appeared in Casualty, Holby City, Doctors, Heartbeat, Lead Balloon, Waterloo Road, the shorts West End Girls and Advance to Contact and as two different characters in Brookside.
