Matt Healy (born as "David Healy" in Paisley, 1970) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as DC Flannery who investigated the scene and conducted house-to-house inquiries following Toyah Battersby's rape in April 2001; and he returned to the programme as photographer Geoff Beech who along with journalist colleague Stan Nicholls were part of the press pack who descended on Coronation Street in March 2003 when the true story of the Richard Hillman murders broke.
As a young child his family moved to Oldham where he attended school and college, changing his Christian name when he took up acting.
Probably best known for portraying Matthew King in Emmerdale between 2004 and 2008, his other credits include roles in The Bill, Merseybeat, Playing the Field, Holby City, Casualty and Doctors.
