Mary Hignett (born 31st March 1916 in Madras, British India; died 6th July 1980 in Chichester) appeared on Coronation Street between October and November 1967 as cleaner May Trickett.

Probably best remembered in the role of cook/housekeeper Mrs Hall in All Creatures Great and Small between 1978 and 1980, her other credits include roles in Dixon of Dock Green, Jane Eyre, The Thompson Family, Whack-O!, The Budds of Paragon Row, Emergency-Ward 10, Z Cars, Silas Marner, A Man of our Times and The Newcomers.

On stage, she appeared in productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Henry V, Cymbeline and The Winter's Tale for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Other works include The Queen Was in the Parlour, The Love of Four Colonels, The Heiress, Dear Antoine, Waters of the Moon, The Devil's Disciple and The Rivals.
