Martyn Charles Hainstock (born 1953, died 30th May 2007 in Hull) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in July 1987 as a taxi driver whose passenger was Mike Baldwin; and he returned to the programme in February 1996 as photographer, Granville Norbury.
He trained at the Drama Studio in London and then appeared in many touring productions with Hull's Remould theatre company and wrote and directed a production of Tutankhamen at Hull Truck Theatre.
His other on-screen credits included roles in Brass, Out of the Blue, Into the Fire, Emmerdale, City Central, Heartbeat and Wing and a Prayer.
He also served for several years as an MC for Hull City Tigers and Hull FC.
