Martyn James Bacon (born 1972 in Oldham) appeared on Coronation Street between July and August 1980 as Wayne Fletcher, who along with his older sister Sharon, were latchkey kids from Hillside Crescent. (The actor was credited as "Martin Bacon" on his first two appearances).
He decided not to take up acting and went onto a career in computers.
Martyn's real-life sister, Wendy Bacon, acted alongside him in the role of Sharon.
