Mark Simpkin (born 18th September 1972 in Ashton Hayes, Cheshire) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as Stuart Jackson in October 1992; with a return to the programme between June and July 2000 as Mark Redman's friend Craig Brennan.
In the role of TV presenting, he trained at the Granada Regional Newsroom and worked on programmes including I Want That House, GMTV's Fashion Police, LK Today, Holiday and The Totally Friday Show.
Away from the camera, he has also been involved in the supply and distribution of furniture and has a property portfolio, including projects in greenbelt, conservation and protected areas. He is the Managing Director of "The Simply Group" of companies.
Married to actress/singer Tricia Penrose since 2003, the couple have two sons.
