Marjorie Sudell (born 14th February 1908 in Blackpool, died 21st April 2001 in Rochdale) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in November 1974 as Mark Brittain Warehouse employee Flo Broadbent; and she returned to the programme in August 1977 as Mavis Riley's domineering aunt, Edith Platt.
Her other television credits included roles in Village Hall, Last of the Summer Wine, I Didn't Know You Cared, Crown Court, All Creatures Great and Small, Flambards, Flesh and Blood, Brideshead Revisited, Juliet Bravo, The Practice and The Return of Sherlock Holmes.
Film roles included It Shouldn't Happen to a Vet, Wetherby and Wish You Were Here.
On stage, she appeared in productions of The Rivals and The Prince of Homburg for the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester.
