Maria Geraldine Gough (born April 1966 in Salford) appeared on Coronation Street in seven roles:
- A policewoman on duty at Weatherfield Police Station when Ken Barlow went to report his wife Deirdre missing in December 1988
- Anna Barnes, a Youth Offending Officer assigned to Aidan Critchley in January 2003
- The magistrate presiding over Angela Harris's murder hearing in April 2005
- Eric Talford's wife in December of the same year
- The solicitor who represented Weatherfield County Council in September 2010
- The surgeon who carried out an abortion on fourteen-year old Amy Barlow in February 2019
- The judge who refused Roy Cropper bail during his hearing at Weatherfield Crown Court in April 2024.
Her other credits include roles in Wizadora, The Bill, Goodnight Sweetheart, 99-1, Emmerdale, Silent Witness, Doctors, Boy Meets Girl and Hollyoaks, along with the 2007 film Boy A.
On stage, she appeared in productions of June Moon, Fool for Love, The Late Edwina Black, Love Me Slender, Sailor, Beware!, The Wizard of Oz and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
As an experienced professional role-player, she is currently involved in Ted Learning, supporting several theatre-based learning courses.
