Margo Stanley appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in July 1991 as Mrs Ellis, a potential purchaser of 3 Coronation Street; and she returned to the programme in February 1993 as Edith Beverley, an unfavourable witness in Rita Sullivan's court fight to retain the terms of her late husband's will.
Her other television credits include roles in Crown Court, Brookside, The Practice, First Among Equals, Lost Empires, Floodtide, Bulman, After the War, The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, Cracker, September Song, Where the Heart Is, Born to Run, Heartbeat, The Cops and Playing the Field.
Film roles include Business as Usual, Bob's Weekend, Career Girls, Girls' Night and L.A. Without a Map.
On stage, she appeared in productions of The Fifteen Streets and Green.
