Margaret Ashley (born in Newcastle) appeared on Coronation Street in January 1988 as Mrs Kenworthy, manager of the Weatherfield Building Society who dealt with Kevin Webster's mortgage application.
She studied at the Manchester Metropolitan University School of Theatre.
Her other credits include roles in Our John Willie, Coming Home, First Among Equals, London's Burning, Wyatt's Watchdogs, Children's Ward, The Bill, Siren Spirits, Strange But True? and The Hunt, along with the films Port Christmas and Cupid.
On stage, she appeared in a 1980 production of Hitler in Liverpool.
