Marcia Warren (born 26th November 1943 in Watford) appeared on Coronation Street in July 2000 as Gladys Braithwaite, an old school friend of Audrey Roberts; and also appeared as Mrs Wiggins in the 2010 spin-off DVD A Knight's Tale.

She trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has had a long career on film, stage and television with one of her first roles in the latter medium being in the Jack Rosenthal-created and Granada produced series The Dustbinmen in 1970. She became well known in the 1980s for her role as nosy next-door neighbour Vera Botting in the BBC comedy No Place Like Home but she has also appeared in many other series such as Public Eye, September Song and four separate roles in The Bill.

On stage, she has won two Olivier awards for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 1984’s Stepping Out and 2002’s Humble Boy. She also appeared in Arsenic and Old Lace with Thelma Barlow who she describes as a friend of over forty years standing. Her favourite medium is radio, for which she has recorded more than one hundred dramas.
