Mandy was a friend of Izzy Armstrong's who arrived at the Rovers in December 2011 for her hen party. Mandy was having second thoughts about her upcoming marriage to her fiancé, Dave. When Mandy began to choke, Kirk Sutherland saved her. They then began chatting and hit it off, and a drunken Mandy suggested they get a taxi back to her place.
