The Man was out walking his dog at Weatherfield Quays when his attention was drawn to David Platt revving up his car engine, driving erratically and watched in horror as the car plunged into the canal. Concerned, the man ran off to find a phone and notified the police who promptly arrived at the scene.
When asked about the car, the man was unable to tell the officers specific details about the make or model but stated that it was a good few years old and had a design on the side - blue wings.
