The Maitre D' worked at an Italian restaurant that Tyrone Dobbs took Sean Tully to in order to thank him for his help in running the household at 9 Coronation Street while Fiz Stape was in Wolverhampton looking after a sick Cilla Battersby-Brown.
The date chosen was Valentine's Day and the Maitre D' assumed that Tyrone and Sean were an item as he placed a rose on the table and informed them that all food was half-price for couples that night. As Tyrone had been taken aback by the high prices on the menu, he immediately went along with the error, holding Sean's hands and using endearments when talking to him. Sean tried on his best Italian accent with the Maitre D' who clearly fancied Sean and flattered him by asking if he was related to Tom Hiddleston as he thought he resembled him so closely. Sean was equally taken with the man and there was definite connection between the two which he couldn't pursue as it would expose Tyrone's fiction and might lead to a higher bill. Sean was not best pleased that a potential romance had been stopped before it could be started.
