Michael Vernon Baldwin Motors was a garage located at 16 Coronation Street, originally owned by Mike Baldwin, who employed Kevin Webster as a mechanic. Mike later sold the garage on to Don Brennan, who eventually discovered that Mike had conned him. Don started a vendetta against Mike by setting his factory, Baldwin's Sportswear, on fire.

Kevin and Tony Horrocks went into partnership and bought the ailing business in August 1996 for £25,000 and renamed it Coronation Street Garage.
