Luan Peters (born "Carol Ann Hirsch" on 18th June 1946 in Bethnal Green, London; died 24th December 2017 also in London) appeared on Coronation Street in June 1971 as physiotherapist Lorna Shawcross.
She began her acting career under the name "Karol Keyes" and was credited for roles in Mickey Dunne, Dixon of Dock Green, Crossroads, Z Cars, Doctor Who, Nana, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), Albert!, On the Buses, Crown Court, Robin's Nest, The Professionals, Fawlty Towers and The Bill.
Film roles include Doctor in Trouble, Man of Violence, Freelance, Lust for a Vampire, Twins of Evil, Vampira, The Devil's Men, The Wildcats of St. Trinian's and Pacific Banana.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Pyjama Tops, John Paul George Ringo and Bert, Dirty Linen, Shut Your Eyes and Think of England and Bill Kenwright's Funny Peculiar.
As an accomplished vocalist, she performed on Top of the Pops in 1975 and 1976 as the frontwoman of disco band 5000 Volts, succeeding Tina Charles.
