Louis Emerick (born 10th June 1963 in Liverpool) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as a Vanman in August 1986 and secondly as retired teacher Mike Thornberry between March and June 2018, with a return to the latter role in December of the same year.

He is best known for playing the role of Mick Johnson in Brookside for twelve years from 1989 and PC Walsh in Last of the Summer Wine between 1988 and 1989 and then again between 2004 and 2010. His other roles include The Practice, Mersey Beat, Casualty, Silent Witness, Doctors and New Tricks as well as the films The Fruit Machine and Layer Cake.

In October 2014, Louis and actor Ken Kitson launched an online appeal in order to fund the creation of a Last of the Summer Wine spin-off.
