Lorraine Hodgson (born in Lancashire) appeared on Coronation Street in June 2014 as Ann McIntyre, mother of Tina (the role had previously been played by Susan Mitchell in a one-off appearance during May 2008).
She trained at Blackpool and The Fylde College, Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and Arts Educational Schools London.
Her other credits include roles in Holby City, Merseybeat, No Angels, EastEnders, The Bill and Malpractice.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Sexual Perversity in Chicago, School for Wives, En Vacances, A Love Story, Garlic Lane, Honeymoon Suite, Glass Hearts, Smirnova's Birthday, The Naked Truth, Halfway Out, Unfit for Women and I Am an Earthling.
