Lorna Parrish was manager at Miami Modes. Visiting the shop floor, she admonished Elsie Tanner for keeping two customers waiting while she was on the phone. Elsie lied to her that it was a customer wanting to know what time the store closed as she wanted to pick up an item she'd bought while in reality it was Bill Gregory wanting to arrange a date with her. Being told by Mrs Parrish that she should make sure that she should accommodate the customer's needs, Elsie grinned to herself at the double-meaning involved and assured her boss that she would do just that!
- Lorna Parrish was one of the final guest characters to appear in the programme just before the Equity actors' strike began in November 1961 which precluded the employment of any actors in similar roles for some six months.
