Leon was a man that Sean Tully fell in love with while in attendance at Weatherfield Health & Fitness. Sean then claimed that Jason Grimshaw was his boyfriend and tried to impress Leon. Later on, Sean told Leon that him and Jason had split up, and hoped that Leon would be interested in him, but Leon revealed he wasn't into camp men.

Leon confessed to Sean that he was in love with Jason and Sean tried to tell Leon that Jason wasn't gay, however Leon refused to believe him. When Jason won a Mr Gay Weatherfield competition while drunk, he and Sean had to admit to a shocked Leon that Jason wasn't gay.

During Jason and Tina McIntyre's flat-warming party at 12 Coronation Street, Leon turned up and revealed that Jason had been disqualified from the competition and accused him of being homophobic.
