Lauren Emma Drummond (born 23rd December 1987 in Cheadle) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as teenager Christie Wells, staying at the Derbyshire campsite where the Croppers, Platts and Websters holidayed in July 2001; and she returned to the programme in July 2019 as Radio Weatherfield presenter Jane Bestwick, who interviewed Chesney Brown and Gemma Winter, kicking off a fundraising campaign prior to the birth of their quadruplets.
She attended Bramhall High School and went on to study Performing Arts at Mid Cheshire College.
Best known for her roles as Mika Grainger in Waterloo Road and Chantelle Lane in Holby City, her other credits include Grange Hill, Heartbeat, Blue Murder, Harley Street, Casualty and The Royal, along with the short films Life's a Bitch, Desire and Be Gentle.
On stage, she appeared in productions of If I Were You, Billy Liar, Dangerous Corner and The Ancient Secret of Youth and the Five Tibetans.
