Laura Fagan was a customer in Jackson's Chip Shop who chatted to cafe owner Agnes MacLean as they waited to be served by Frank Jackson. They discussed a local butcher whose wife had just died, unsurprisingly as her hands had started to turn blue, although Laura said when the same thing had happened to her Ellen the shade had been more whimberry.

Frank was looking after the shop for his brother Fred and showed that he wasn't totally familiar with the workings of the establishment though Laura showed more patience with his fumblings than Agnes did when he served the two women.

Credited as just "Laura", Frank a moment later states to Dennis Tanner that "Mrs Fagan" just took the last of a batch of 6d-worth of chips and more would need to be made. As Agnes MacLean was credited by her full name, then presumably "Fagan" is Laura's surname.
