Kimberley Gail Marsh (previously Ryder and Lomas) (born 13th June 1976 in Wigan, Lancashire) first entered the public eye in 2001 when she was a contestant on the "reality TV" show Popstars. She was one of the five winners who formed the briefly successful group Hear'say. An attempt at a solo career followed and included an entry in the Eurovision Song Contest preliminary contest. She also presented the daytime talk show Loose Women in late 2005 .

Her acting career began in musicals and pantomimes, and she has played the Coronation Street role of Michelle Connor full-time since September 2006, after a short trial period earlier in the year.

On 19th June 2008, Marsh signed a £100,000 contract to stay on the programme for at least another year.
