Kitchener Street was a street within walking distance of Coronation Street. In 1992, Don Brennan pursued two lads who broke into The Kabin until he lost them down an alley in Kitchener Street.
Historically, Kitchener Street was an area of slum housing; the Crabtrees, including the future Hilda Ogden, lived there for a time. By the 2000s, it was home to clothing factory King's Robes, owned by Preston King and later, after his death in 2003, his widow Penny.
