Kevin Doyle (born 10th April 1960 in Scunthorpe) appeared on Coronation Street in both March and June 1987 as Newton & Ridley executive, Hugh Ridley.
Best known for his regular role of Joseph Molesley in Downton Abbey, his other credits include roles in Shine on Harvery Moon, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, The Stand, The Bill, The Lakes, Silent Witness, Holby City, Badger, North Square, At Home with the Braithwaites, Blackpool, Casualty, Midsomer Murders, The Rotters' Club, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Dalziel and Pascoe, Holby Blue, The Tudors, Scott & Bailey, The Crimson Field, Happy Valley, Paranoid, Miss Scarlet and the Duke, Sherwood and Vera.
Film roles include The Libertine, Good, Downton Abbey, Resurrection and Downton Abbey: A New Era.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Great Expectations, The Plain Dealer, Richard III, Henry VI, Edward IV, Edmond, Kissing the Pope, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, A Woman Killed With Kindness, Artists and Admirers, Coriolanus, A Midsummer Night's Dream, A Brand from the Burning and Henry V for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Mutabilitie, The White Guard and This House for the National Theatre. Other works include Macbeth, Great Expectations and Othello.
He and his partner, actress Olwen May, live in West Yorkshire.
