Kenneth Murray Watson (born 16th November 1931 in Stepney, London; died 21st July 1998 in Fulham, London) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in October 1968 as Detective-Constable Parry, investigating the death of Steve Tanner; and he returned to the programme between May 1975 and February 1980 in the recurring role of Gatsby Club owner Ralph Lancaster.
He graduated from RADA in 1953, and then went on to appear in rep in Oxford, Colchester and Manchester.
Making his television debut in Kidnapped, his other credits include roles in Emergency-Ward 10, Formula for Danger, Mill of Secrets, Dixon of Dock Green, Merry-Go-Round, Doctor Who, Z Cars, Holly, The Brothers, Man About the House, Cloud Burst, Out of the Past, Crown Court, Rough Justice, Emmerdale Farm and the regular role of Brian Blair in Take the High Road, which he played between 1980 and 1990.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Black Chiffon, The Late Christopher Bean, Meet Mr Callaghan, The Ticket-of-Leave Man and Long Day's Journey Into Night.
