Ken Kitson (born 1946 in Bradford) appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:
- Mountain rescue leader Jim Hinton during August and September 1977
- Marion Willis's ex-boyfriend Phil Moss in August 1982
- Marty Kelly in July 2001
- Businessman Frank Walker in October 2004.
Probably better known for his long-running role as PC Cooper in Last of the Summer Wine, his other credits include roles in Churchill's People, Shades of Greene, Angels, Get Some In!, Van der Valk, Danger UXB, All Creatures Great and Small, The Gentle Touch, Mappe & Lucia, Children's Ward, Ruth Rendell Mysteries, The Bill, Heartbeat, London's Burning, Casualty, Emmerdale and Shameless.
In October 2014, Ken and actor Louis Emerick launched an online appeal in order to fund the creation of a Last of the Summer Wine spin-off.
