Karen Bartke (born in Glasgow) appeared on Coronation Street in July 2018 as a Weatherfield General-based Doctor who attended Jack Webster, having been diagnosed with sepsis.
Her other television credits include Monarch of the Glen, Night is Day, Cops and Monsters and Scot Squad as well as the feature film Silver Tongues and the short films Goldfish, The Reporter, Hush, Someone Else, In the Snack Bar, The Ambitious Potato, Dimmock: Portrait of an Athlete and Passing Shadows.
On stage she has appeared in productions of Refuge, The Memory of Water, Twelfth Night, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, No Time Has Passed In Hippo Land, Tracks of the Winter Bear, Sleeping Beauty and Assessment.
Winner of BBC Audio Award for Best Debut Performance 2016 for My Name Is... aired on BBC Radio 4, other radio adaptations include Rachel's Cousins, Leaving, The Interrogation, Agnes Grey, Somewhere in England, Romance is Dead, Life on Egg and Marathon Man.
