June Muriel Brown MBE (born 16th February, 1927) is an award-winning British actress most famous for her role on BBC soap opera EastEnders as chain-smoking Christian Dot Cotton, a part she played from 1985 to 1993, and again from 1997 to 2020. On Coronation Street, she appeared as Mrs Parsons (the mother of Tony Parsons), in August 1970 and February 1971.

June was awarded the MBE in 2008. Her other acting credits include Doctor Who, Minder and the 1997 film Bean: The Ultimate Disaster Movie.
