June Broughton (born "June Wright" on 13th October 1925 in York, died 28th August 2014 in North Yorkshire) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
- The recurring role of Joan Lowther between October 1982 and November 1987
- Barbara, who along with her husband Neville, were passengers in John Stape's taxi in November 2008
- Elderly barmaid Enid Crump in February 2010.
Her other credits included roles in Emmerdale, My Wonderful Life, Casualty, Funland, The Royal Today, Five Days and Candy Cabs, along with the films The Night We Got the Bird, Brothers in Trouble, The Full Monty and The Parole Officer.
On stage, she appeared in productions of The Schoolmistress, The Cracked Pot and Three Sisters.
She was the daughter-in-law of Coronation Street original and much-loved cast member Arthur Leslie, who played Rovers' landlord Jack Walker for the first ten years of the programme's transmission. Her husband, Tony Broughton, also appeared in the programme in four roles, including working alongside June in her 2008 role.
