Judy Hawkins appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly appearing intermittently between November 1986 and September 1991 as Pauline Lofthouse, a friend and neighbour of Gail Tilsley when she was a resident of 33 Hammond Road; and she returned to the programme in May 2010 as pathologist Mrs Hathersage, who ironically gave evidence at the trial of the same, but newly-married, Gail McIntyre.
Her other credits include roles in The Comic Strip Presents..., Happy Families, The Practice, Bulman, Red Dwarf, The Return of the Antelope, How to Be Cool, Ain't Misbehavin, Emmerdale and The Royal, along with the films Cycle Vixens and The Girl with Brains in Her Feet (with John Thomson).
On stage, she appeared in a 1985 production of Green at the Contact Theatre, Manchester.
