Jon Rollason (born 9th April 1931 in Birmingham, died 20th February 2016 in Llandudno) appeared on Coronation Street at irregular intervals between December 1963 and July 1971 as Dave Robbins, a teaching colleague of Ken Barlow.

In other roles, he appeared in The Avengers, Swizzlewick, Softly Softly, Doctor Who, Barlow and Robin's Nest, along with a part in the world premiere broadcast of Harold Pinter's The Dwarves on Radio Three.

On stage, he appeared in productions of Henry VI (parts I, II and III), The Boy David and The Critic for the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Other works include Saturday Night at the Crown, Intimate Relations, Albertine by Moonlight, The Entertainer and Open to Murder.

Rollason wrote for television, notably for daytime soap opera Crossroads and co-created the 1969 BBC1 series Special Project Air and was a collector of ceramics. He was also a published author and script-writer for radio. He and his wife Janet had four children and had been married for over fifty years.
