John Graham Davies appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:
- A police inspector who investigated Martin Platt and Jenny Bradley's car crash in January 1987.
- Det. Insp. Jordan, who investigated the disappearance of Rita Fairclough from November to December 1989 .
- A police sergeant in the programme's live fortieth anniversary episode in December 2000.
- The judge presiding over Peter Barlow's trial for the murder of Tina McIntyre in October 2014.
During his early career in the 1970s he was a founder member of the Canadian National Theater, appearing in Troilus and Cressida, Camino Real and toured nationally in Hamlet. Furthermore, he appeared in a 1986 production of Funny Peculiar at Leeds Playhouse.
He was also a regular voice on BBC Radio 4.
Best known for his role as Les Hunter in Hollyoaks from 2001 to 2005, his other credits include roles in Chessgame, Travelling Man, Albion Market, First Among Equals, Harry, Cracker, Emmerdale, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Cold Feet, Casualty, The Bill, Doctors and Casualty 1909, along with the 1999 film Heart.
