Joe Holroyd (born 23rd June 1918 in Oldham, died 16th August 1994 in Manchester) played seven roles on Coronation Street:
- Norman Partridge, a drinker from The Flying Horse spying on the Rovers tug-of-war team in December 1967
- A court usher in November 1969 and October 1971 (credited as "Joseph Holroyd")
- Alfred, a waiter at the Pack Horse restaurant in March 1971 (credited as "Joseph Holroyd")
- Bert Slater, landlord of the Old Nag's Head in April 1973
- Fred Olliphant, a candidate for the post of caretaker at the Community Centre in March 1974 (credited as "Joseph Holroyd")
- Chas Collier in October 1985 (credited as "Joseph Holroyd")
- Kabin customer Mr Dickinson in June 1988.
He also appeared in Politics, an episode of the Street spin-off The Brothers McGregor, transmitted in March 1987.
Originally a member of the Manchester Repertory Company, the group of actors were evacuated to Rhyl's Pavilion Theatre during World War II, where Joe and Aubrey Phillips founded the Little Theatre in the town in 1944. This was the first purpose-built children's theatre in the UK.
His other credits include roles in The Contenders, Crown Court and Watching.
