Joan Frances Savage (born 2nd January 1934 in Blackpool, died 1st November 2023 in Twickenham, London) appeared on Coronation Street in July 2000 as Blackpool ballroom dancer Celeste Pickersgill, partnered by Norris Cole in a competition at the Tower Ballroom.
Performing with Ken Morris in a double act throughout the 1950s and 60s, she also worked a season at the London Palladium with Arthur Haynes. Thereafter, she went on to develop a career as a solo artist.
Her other credits included roles in Sez Les, Dad's Army and Come Back, Lucy.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Swing Along, Deja Revue, Stepping Out, 70, Girls, 70 and Follies.
In recognition of her talent and services to show business, she was awarded the Freedom of the City of London in 2008.
