Jo Lafoe was an Underworld client.
In December 2018, Jo met up with Underworld boss Nick Tilsley at Speed Daal in order to discuss contracts. Nick's business partner, and ex-wife, Carla Connor believed that Nick was meeting Leanne Battersby for a date and plotted to have his estranged wife Elsa ambush the pair, as Nick had used Elsa's inheritance money to buy into the factory, in order for her to be able to provide proof of Nick's adultery.
While Nick had originally planned a date with Leanne, he changed his plans last minute after being informed about Carla's plan by his sister, and Carla's personal assistant, Sarah Platt. Jo was left confused by the situation, but later discovered Carla and Nick arguing at the factory and realised that they were once a married couple. Jo threatened to take her business elsewhere as she didn't want their personal lives to affect her order, however the pair were able to team up and get Jo's order ready in time. Jo was ultimately pleased with the end result.
