Jim Todd was the son of Jack and Vi Todd.
Jim was brought up by his parents at his grandmother's home on Mawdsley Street. In 1926 the Todds moved out after they secured the tenancy for 9 Coronation Street. When Jim left school Jack had him taken on by his company working as a bus conductor, and Jim eventually put Jack out of work as he was cheaper to hire leaving Jack to find a lesser paid job digging up roads for the council.
When the Second World War broke out, Jim joined up straight away and served with the Desert Rats in Africa. He was killed in 1942.
