Jim Millea (born 25th November 1958 in Leeds) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
- Carl Armstrong, the ex-husband of Tricia Armstrong, who appeared in both March 1994 and September 1996
- DS Duncan, who questioned Dev Alahan about the disappearance of his cousin Naveen in April 2004
- Jeff Rayner, who appeared between October and November 2013. Having met up with Roy and Hayley Cropper at a support group, it was established that his wife Jane had also been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
He trained at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama.
Best known for his roles as Pete Whiteley in Emmerdale and Neville Ashworth in Hollyoaks, his other credits include roles in Heartbeat, Out of the Blue, EastEnders, Peak Practice, Dalziel and Pascoe, Holby City, Doctors, The Royal, DCI Banks and The Syndicate, along with the 2012 film When the Lights Went Out.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Six Characters in Search of an Author, Fathers and Sons and Ting Tang Mine for the National Theatre. Other works include Treasure Island and Pat & Margaret.
