Jessica Andrews was a young girl who lived at 7 Mawdsley Street. She became distressed after her young Labrador puppy had went missing. Vera Duckworth found the dog and, believing it to be a stray, was intent on keeping it until Percy Sugden revealed the little girl as the owner after witnessing her putting an advertisement in the Corner Shop. Vera returned the dog to Jessica.
