Revision as of 20:05, 27 July 2018

Jess Heywood is Craig Tinker's police mentor.

When Craig arrived at Weatherfield Police Station, he saw that Jess was drinking out of his mug of tea and told her that he always drank from that mug before he started his shift as part of his routine. Jess told Craig that there were plenty of mugs available in the sink and informed him that she was his new mentor.

While out on patrol, Jess asked Craig if he could wait in the car while she went out for five minutes in order to quickly ring her mum. Craig reminded Jess that he didn't think that officers were allowed to make personal calls while out on duty.

When Jess dropped Craig off at his home, she asked how he thought the shift had gone. When Craig admitted he thought the day hadn't gone well, Jess told him that she had done her homework on his events with Neil Clifton. Jess admitted she didn't like people who broke the rules, as Craig had done by recording evidence, and that she had purposely asked to phone her mum in order to test Craig. Jess told Craig that she was impressed with his courage to tell her she was wrong and told him that she was looking forward to working with him.
