Jeremy Young (born "John Henry Young" on 28th July 1934 in Liverpool, died 9th April 2022 in Twickenham, Middlesex) appeared on Coronation Street between July and November 1972 as bookmaker and club owner Benny Lewis.
His other credits included roles in The Cabin in the Clearing, Deadline Midnight, Z Cars, Doctor Who, Crossroads, The Villains, No Hiding Place, The Three Musketeers and its sequel The Further Adventures of the Musketeers, The Avengers, The Saint, Softly Softly, Canterbury Tales, Dixon of Dock Green, The Onedin Line, Space: 1999, Dick Barton: Special Agent, God's Wonderful Railway, On the Line, The Tripods, Brat Farrar, Brookside, A Very British Coup, EastEnders, Taggart and The Bill.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Prisoners of War, Hamlet, All in the Family, Sacred Cow, The Quare Fellow, Conduct Unbecoming, The Collector, An Ideal Husband, You Never Can Tell and St. George's Day Festival '93.
He was married to fellow actors Coral Atkins in 1960 and Kate O'Mara from 1971 to 1976.
