Jenny was an ex-girlfriend and friend of Matt Carter. The pair had met at university and dated on-and-off for five years. Jenny met up with Matt and their mutual friends Mike and Caroline along with Matt's new girlfriend Tina McIntyre at Nick's Bistro in November 2011.
Tina felt uncomfortable when Jenny revealed that she and Matt were an item and tension rose when Jenny belittled her job. This caused Tina to storm out and have a row with Matt.
